Only Elisa Mevius, the best shooter in the game against Romania, has joined the current team from the successful Olympians on the gold team in Paris, after Svenja Brunckhorst ended her career and Svenja Greinacher was sidelined with a hand injury. National coach Samir Suliman is still optimistic, his players have shown impressive performances and are aiming for another win. “We just have to attack,” he tells the girls.

For Germany, however, success in 3×3 basketball is no coincidence. The national women's team has developed continuously in recent years and attracted attention for the first time at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. At that time, however, the team remained without a medal because they missed qualification. But in 2024, the team finally won the gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Paris after an impressive group stage with six wins and just one loss. This success shows how far they have come in a very short time and their desire to continue to be at the top.
