A treat for music lovers: The grand finale of the popular “Sunset Sound” concert series will take place on Friday in the Multiplex Terraces of Shopping City Süd (SCS). The performance of Conchita Wurst, the undisputed star of the event, will begin at 7 p.m. With Hallelujah and “Rise Like a Phoenix” under her belt, she will once again enchant audiences with her powerful voice. This concert promises to be a real highlight, especially since the rock band “Devils Lesson” will be supporting it.
Since its introduction in summer 2022, “Sunset Sound” has become a popular meeting place for music fans. Every Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., free of any admission fees, visitors can enjoy performances by top-class acts. This year, over 25 restaurants were able to provide additional attractions in the DSTRCT area with their culinary delicacies as well as leisure activities such as City Wave, bowling and escape rooms.
A look back at the concert series
The concert series started on July 25th with the opening act “Tagtraeumer” and attracted more and more fans every week. The opening was celebrated with the support of Tina Naderer. On August 1st, the musical “Saturday Night Fever” with M.O.M. as support, followed by acts like James Cottrial, RIAN and the legendary Boris Bukowski. Ultimately, the grand finale on August 29th will be crowned by Conchita Wurst, truly one of Austria's most famous artists.
Conchita Wurst, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with her hit “Rise Like a Phoenix”, has also enjoyed great success in recent years with her debut album, which achieved platinum status in Austria. She has also impressively followed up with her new electropop album “T.O.M – Truth Over Magnitude”.
An event for everyone
The final event is expected to surpass last year's record of 4,000 visitors. The event will be moderated by Reinhart Gabriel and Rozalija Gregurek, who will heat up the mood among those present. In addition to Conchita Wurst, the band “Devils Lesson” will act as a support act - another reason to mark Friday red in your calendar.
