Penzinger SV dominates: 3-1 win against FC Mariahilf!
On Thursday evening things got really busy in the 1st Class A when FC Mariahilf met Penzinger SV. The encounter, which took place at Mariahilfer's home stadium, ended with a clear 3-1 win for the guests from Penzing. While the first half remained goalless, the second half showed where the Penzingers are headed.
The game remained fairly even in the first half, but both teams realized that they lacked precision in finishing. The goal was pushed over the goal with a header from Miriton Ujkani in the 9th minute and Adnan Felic also missed a good opportunity in the 14th minute. Mariahilfer also had their chances, especially in the 37th minute when Raoul Plieseis failed to put the ball into the net after a volley. But despite all their efforts, the score was 0-0 at the break.
The Penzing storm breaks through
What was on the program for the spectators in the second half was the development of the Penzinger attack. Immediately after the restart, Qendrim Murati made it 1-0 in the 49th minute. Just eight minutes later, Okan Gültekin made it 2-0 with a penalty. Then there was an own goal from Daniel Wörnher, which increased the score to 3-0. However, FC Mariahilf did not let themselves be defeated and scored 1:3 through Marko Stipic in the 58th minute, but the deficit remained significant.
The Penzinger team proved their effectiveness in this game and was able to collect important points on the way to staying in the league. However, FC Mariahilf remains without any points in the current season, which doesn't make the team's situation any easier.
