Secret Garden: Festival in the Servitenviertel Enchanted with music and cuisine!

From September 5th to 7th, 2025, the Servitenviertel will be the venue for the QuarterBaroque Festival, a cultural highlight that takes place under the motto “Secret Garden”. The scenery, characterized by French charm and cultural diversity, offers an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors. The festival is organized by a dedicated team from IG Servitenviertel in cooperation with the ensemble freymut, which has successfully continued the series since 2023. Originally launched in 2020, the festival offers a diverse program that has continuously expanded in recent years, as ViertelBarock reports.

What can visitors expect? Look forward to a colorful program with open-air concerts in the courtyard of the Servite Monastery and a colorful Galician night in the Palais Festetics. This night is not only a musical delight, but also a culinary delight, as local restaurateurs bring special delicacies to the plates. The festival is aimed at friends, families and culture enthusiasts who are interested in meeting and exchanging new acquaintances.

Diverse program for young and old

A highlight of the festival is the family concert, which brings all generations together. Stand-up comedy, neighborhood tours and pop-up concerts also await visitors in the pedestrian zone. The forecourt of the Servitenkirche becomes a contact point for families with a children's concert and workshops for babies and their parents. The musical performances are accessible to everyone - the pop-up concerts and many musical experiences are even free.

Here is an overview of the program highlights:

Cooperations and promotion of young talent

An important aspect of the festival is the promotion of young musicians. In collaboration with the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK), there will be an audition in which talented musicians can get the chance to work at the festival. The Ensemble Artemisia kicks things off with the program “Duello Amoroso”. This not only offers cultural enjoyment, but also lays the foundation for the future of music.

The QuarterBaroque Festival not only offers a varied cultural program, but is also a platform for local gastronomy and community initiatives. With partners such as Wien Energie, fritz-kola, Joseph Brot and the Alsergrund district council, the importance of the festival for the local community is demonstrated. Information about further program items and tickets can be found on the festival website ViertelBarock.

In a city like Vienna, where culture and art are very important, the QuarterBaroque Festival fits perfectly into the series of numerous open-air events that take place throughout the summer. Vienna offers a wide spectrum from film to cabaret to music, as the summer stages on Wien.info show.
