Wiener hiker conquers all BIM lines-adventure on 18 routes!

Unter St. Veit, Österreich - Wien not only inspires with its historical treasures and the cozy flair, but also with impressive hiking trails that attract both locals and tourists. Andreas Kaschik launched a very special project. The product developer in a bakery who spends his nights with baking devotes his days to a different kind of city trip - he walks off the Viennese tram lines. The passionate hiker has already taken 18 lines under the soles, including lines 60, 41, 6 and 71.

his first hike on line 60 started at the Westbahnhof and ended after about 13 kilometers in Rodaun, taking around three hours for the route. Future hikes on lines 1 and 2 are already in the starting blocks, because Kaschik has set itself the goal of literally exploring all 28 tram lines in Vienna. "It is fascinating how many stories and details you discover when you walk the routes on foot," explains Kaschik and adds that he is planning every hike in detail. He not only takes into account the course of the line, but also sights and various districts.

beginners in the world of the Viennese hiking trails

Vienna actually has a lot of hiking trails to offer. The city hiking trails in the green belt are well signposted and excellently accessible by public transport. There you will find the Stadtwanderweg 1-Kahlenberg or the city hiking trail 9-Prater. An app ensures a stress -free overview of the paths. It shows precise routes, enables the city hiking trails to be in and follows the current position of the hiking man.

It also becomes exciting when it comes to the special features of nature in Vienna. Residents can often observe rodents who have masterfully adapted to city life. These smaller ears and reduced tooth heights are not uncommon and reflect the urban living conditions, as the records in geo show.

A special highlight of his hikes was the tour along the 10-line, during which Kaschik showed himself in a unicorn costume-a really creative idea that attracted special attention, especially on Mardi Gras. On his YouTube and Facebook channel he shares all of his experiences and encourages others to discover Vienna from new perspectives.

With over 18 tram lines that have moved, Kaschik has already mastered the first challenges, but the adventure is far from over. With the new lines 12 and 27, which are being planned, he will soon put his hiking boots here. Vienna still has more to offer than just the classic sights - the city has it all and is waiting to be explored step by step.
