AC/DC rocks Berlin: 60,000 fans celebrate in the Olympic Stadium!

On June 30, 2025, the Olympic Stadium in Berlin was transformed into a veritable rock arena when the legendary band AC/DC took the stage again after a ten-year break. In front of 60,000 enthusiastic fans, the rock icons delivered a show that set standards in terms of energy and stage presence. The crowd could look forward to a set full of AC/DC classics, ranging from songs like “Highway to Hell” to tracks from the Bon Scott era. Brian Johnson, who had recovered, wowed in his characteristic flat cap and roused the crowd with his powerful voice. Angus Young in particular, who caused a sensation with his legendary guitar solos, caught the eyes of the fans.

In total, the setlist included around 20 songs, with a focus on Bon Scott's period. Hunting guitar riffs, unforgettable melodies and the epic finale with the classic “For Those About to Rock”, accompanied by an impressive fireworks display, left no doubt that AC/DC are still in business. The band was supported by The Pretty Reckless, which started the evening in an atmospheric way.

Logistics for concert visitors

To minimize travel planning stress, it was recommended to travel by public transport. With the concert ticket, fans were able to use public transport on the day of the event from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m. the following day, which made travel uncomplicated. The connection was thanks to the U2 subway line to the Olympia Stadium station and the S3 and S9 S-Bahn lines. Several bus routes such as M49 and 218 also stopped near the stadium, making access easier.

There were a few parking options for drivers, including the Olympic Square and PO1 car parks, but no advance reservations were accepted. Traffic management and signage systems should be observed, especially when leaving, in order to avoid possible delays, such as Berlin Olympic Stadium recommends.

European tour 2025

The concert in Berlin was part of a larger European tour that included several performances in Germany. After the performance on June 30th, AC/DC played in Düsseldorf on July 8th and in Karlsruhe on August 17th. This tour is a significant event for the band, which will be back on stages around the world in 2024 after a break of almost eight years. The band, which was founded in Sydney in 1973 and set a milestone in rock history with “Back In Black” in 1980, remains active and tours through twelve European countries.

Overall, AC/DC's comeback shows that the rock legends have lost none of their power and charisma even after all these years. This makes the band an unforgettable experience for old-school rock fans. The proof: After the concert in Berlin, which exceeded all expectations, anticipation and enthusiasm for the upcoming events are high. If you haven't seen the band live yet, you shouldn't miss the opportunity!
