New coach Pannosch: Simmering starts to win the championship title!

A new wind is blowing at 1. Simmeringer SC in the Vienna City League. Felix Pannosch took over as coach after he was surprisingly fired from SV Donau in spring 2025. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the coach is optimistic and has clear goals in mind. “We have nothing to do with relegation,” explains Pannosch and wants to lead the club successfully into the new season. He joins a long list of coaches in the Vienna City League who often start with great ambitions and high expectations.

Pannosch looks back on an instructive and strenuous past season. The start was anything but easy due to the ÖFB Cup and numerous game cancellations. “The first half of the season was challenging and we were often affected by poor pitch conditions,” he says. Despite these setbacks, the gap to the top at the winter break was only two points, which offered a glimmer of hope for the championship title. During the winter break, the goal of winning the title was clearly defined.

A fresh start with high goals

The second half of the season started promisingly for SV Donau. A clear 3-0 win against direct rivals Vienna gave hope. But the bad luck with injuries of many key players like Eddi, Edvin and Philipp became noticeable and it took a long time before they could start training again. Pannosch worked successfully as a trainer until the 25th round before the decision was made to continue without him. Despite the dismissal, he congratulates SV Donau on their title and wishes the team good luck in the regional league.
