New Motor City in Vienna-Simmering: Experience mobility in a new way!
On November 4, 2025, the new Motor City opened its doors in Vienna-Simmering and is proving to be a true mobility center. The location on Baudißgasse offers a comprehensive range of options for car fans and everyone who relies on individual mobility. How Leadersnet reports, the opening was celebrated with a soft opening and the first “Motor City Business Night 2025”, at which numerous guests from business, politics and the automotive industry were present.
The Motor City promises an “all-inclusive” approach: everything is included, from new and used cars to extensive workshop and plumbing services through to foiling and spare parts. Particular emphasis is also placed on financing and insurance services, so that visitors can get everything from a single source. In his remarks, Fahri Gökbas, initiator and managing director, emphasized the importance of networking between companies and partnership-based cooperation, which is the focus.
A modern concept for the region
The Motor City not only offers a place to purchase vehicles or receive services, but also a lounge and cafeteria where visitors can relax. Mücahit Sencan, Managing Director of Rainer Glanzarena, emphasized the importance of this new concept for the region and promised a wide range that covers all vehicle-related needs.
Brands such as Opel, XPeng and Honda Motorrad are part of the new mobility center and ensure that there is something for every taste. Wolfgang Wagner, Motor City sales manager, was responsible for the organizational start of the project and will continue to play a central role in day-to-day business.
Step into the future
If you compare the Motor City in Vienna with its counterpart in Dubai, where a lively community of automobile and sports enthusiasts has formed, it becomes clear that the concept is also well received internationally. In Dubai, the Motor City is not only a place for car trading, but also a cultural center with a wide range of events and gastronomy, such as Dubai Glimpse describes.
The challenges associated with the growth of such urban development projects, such as traffic problems or the need for sustainable solutions, are not unknown in Vienna either. However, an integrated approach is sought here, like that Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) explained. A sustainable and inclusive plan is important not only for mobility, but also for climate protection and social equality.
The opening of the Motor City is not only a good step into the future for Vienna, but could also serve as a model for integrated, sustainable urban development in other regions. It will be interesting to see how this center develops and whether it can celebrate similar successes to those in Dubai.
