Creative holiday fun: around 30 children conjure up maritime works of art!
The summer holidays have begun and the children of the small Waldviertler StadtLand region kicked off with a colorful holiday pass program. The opening event took place on June 30th at HUKI in Breitensee under the motto “Maritime crafts”. Almost 30 enthusiastic children were there and clearly had fun making decorative and fragrant soap bars as well as creative works of art from shells. At the end of the event, all children were in the best holiday mood and ready for new adventures.
But that's not all that's floating in this region. There is news from the area of early childhood education in Waldenstein. The Lower Austrian state kindergarten is currently being expanded to create space for additional groups. A needs survey among the population shows the desire for more childcare places. The local council has already made a fundamental decision on this and construction work began in 2023.

There was also a lot of activity in Großdietmanns during the 2024 summer holidays. The elementary school there was completely renovated. Extensive renovations to the basement were carried out, and the plumbing, fixtures, floors and lighting were also modernized. An expansion of the school ensures that there is now more space for the students.
