New burger hotspot in Vienna: Smash burgers are conquering the Danube city!

A new gastronomic hotspot opened today in the heart of the Danube city: The restaurant “LVRS” brings a breath of fresh air to Vienna’s burger landscape. With a clear focus on smash burgers, which get a special flavor by crushing the patty on the grill plate, the company is setting new standards in burger preparation. Managing director Christopher Kocher, who also runs the popular restaurant “Jussi”, is pleased about the high demand, which amounted to around 450 burgers per day in the first month, and emphasizes: “Our fresh, organic ingredients were well received by the guests.”

The LVRS concept is rounded off by the cooperation with Jakob Baran from the Italian restaurant “MIO” and chef Manfred Sirch from “Jussi”. The restaurant itself has 30 seats inside and 30 seats outside, which are decorated in the typical American style - large pictures and high bar stools create a relaxed atmosphere. There is also a focus on sustainability: take-away orders are packed in reusable boxes, which is both environmentally friendly and practical for picnics.

From smash burgers to sliders

The opening of LVRS is part of a larger trend in Vienna that oe24.at describes: The concept of smash burgers from the USA is finding more and more fans. Another example is the planned sliders factory “Hab’s Burger!” at Franz-Josefs-Kai, which is scheduled to open in December. Here, burger fans can enjoy various mini burgers in a retro-chic design named after Habsburg icons. Sliders, which were invented in the USA in the 1930s, offer a variety of flavor variations and are easy to eat.

Experience the diversity in other Viennese restaurants. In the “Cheat Day” restaurant in the 3rd district, a father-son team focuses on hearty dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the “Cheat Day Burger”, which has twice as much patty, cheddar and beef bacon. Prices for the appetizing smash burgers start at just 9.90 euros.

Future prospects

The feedback from guests is promising, so Kocher is already thinking about expanding. “We are not only planning further locations in the 21st district, but also want to be present in inner districts of Vienna and possibly in cities such as Munich, Paris, London or Dubai,” he reveals. This will not only make LVRS a new destination for burger lovers, but could also cause an international sensation.

Whether smash burgers or sliders – Vienna has developed into a hotspot for burger fans. With an ever-growing range of creative and delicious burger variations, the culinary trend is far from waning. Try the new creations yourself – a visit to LVRS is an all-round experience!
