Something is happening in Mistelbach! On October 27, 2025, the local construction industry is in a spirit of optimism because HARTL HAUS has landed a significant order. The renowned prefabricated house company will build a new terraced complex for the WAV non-profit building and settlement cooperative Waldviertel. 25 high-quality residential units with a total living space of around 2,750 m² are planned.
Particularly noteworthy is the decision to use sustainable timber frame construction, which is not only ecologically responsible but also offers quick, individual solutions. CEO Yves Suter emphasizes that the modular construction method not only increases quality, but also reduces construction time and environmental impact on site. Completion is scheduled for summer 2026, after construction begins in October 2023.
Sustainability and affordable housing
The construction project also has high goals: With optimal use of space through efficient floor plans and low soil sealing, the living space should remain affordable. HARTL HAUS would like to make an important contribution to the housing supply in the region, where a population increase of up to 400,000 people in the city region around Vienna is expected by 2030. An increase of 3,000 to 4,000 people is expected for Mistelbach, making the town a popular place to live for commuter families.

HARTL HAUS is a true family business with over 125 years of experience in the construction industry and has established itself as a specialist for prefabricated houses and carpentry products. The 100% production in our own factory in Echsenbach, Lower Austria, underlines the company's quality standards. HARTL HAUS currently employs around 280 people who are regularly trained in specialist and apprentice training. Here the foundation stone for future construction projects is laid with a good hand.
