Fashion revolution in Vienna: final show inspires with creativity!
The fashion world experienced an exciting evening on June 5, 2025 in the atrium of the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The Fashion Class of 2025's graduation show, led by renowned visiting professor Craig Green, was a true spectacle of creativity and innovation. A total of 34 students, including five graduate students with their final collections, presented their works, which were accompanied by musical sounds by the artist Zebra Katz. Beyond Pixels reports that the show is considered an indicator of the innovative power of artistic fashion in German-speaking countries.
The event not only attracted a general public, but also international trade visitors and a jury that evaluated the diploma collections. The jury members included notable personalities such as Serge Carreira from the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode Paris and Tuomas Laitinen from SSAW Magazine, which gave the show additional weight. Individual collections reflected social transformations and personal narratives, as emphasized by Craig Green, who understood the students' creative journey as a response to the current moment.
A special evening for the graduate students
The highlight of the evening was the awarding of the RONDO Fashion Prize, which comes with prize money of 5,000 euros. At the same time, one of the young designers was awarded the WIEN MITTE The Mall Award worth 2,500 euros. The final collections by Dian Adhami, David Hopp, Olivia Jochum, Julia Nagl and Benedikt Salchegger were very well received. Particularly noteworthy is Dian Adhami, who was delighted to receive the special prize and the opportunity to present her work outside of the university setting.
Maria Zettler, who spoke on behalf of the interim rectorate, described the show as an important event in the academic year and a highlight for fashion in Vienna. This shows how highly regarded the fashion class at the University of Applied Arts is - a real oneLaboratory for future ideas and narratives.
Training the creative minds of tomorrow
The University of Applied Arts Vienna is just one of many institutions offering high-quality education in fashion design in the city. The Hetzendorf fashion school, for example, offers a higher education institution for fashion design and product design as well as a technical school for fashion. The training there places emphasis on international professional practice and promotes creative and networked thinking, which gives graduates an excellent start in the fashion world. Those interested can find further information about these training offers on the website of the fashion and design schools in Vienna ( Hum Vienna ).
With such creative talent and in-depth educational offerings, it is clear that Vienna is continuing to establish itself as a center for fashion and design. We can't wait to see how the careers of these young designers develop!
