Floridsdorf celebrates art and dentistry at the unique Dentissage!

In Floridsdorf, the H40 Dental Life Center, still under construction, has recently served as a unique stage for art and culture. The event entitled “Floridsdorf shows teeth” was called “Dentissage” and transformed the previous building site into a lively cultural meeting place. The initiative came from Bernd Bartosek, the center's managing director, who invited people to experience the diverse connection between dental health and artistic forms of action.

A highlight of the event was the live painting, curated by Moody, which was described as “art therapy.” The audience could not only watch, but also actively participate in the creative processes. The live performance was titled “You Are What You Eat” and conveyed the importance of a healthy diet in an entertaining way. Various artists such as @trashtray, @prodbypengg, @alexishera_, @benguy_1 and @sarasunsheine contributed to the musical performances, accompanying the event with electronic sounds.

Culinary experiences and art therapy

The event also offered a wide range of culinary offerings. From vegan compositions to exquisite Wagyu specialties served by the Vienna sausage stand, there was something for every taste. Another sensation was the so-called bling session with @toothfairy.nyx, where the topic of attaching tooth germs was discussed. Bartosek emphasized that the H40 Dental Life Center should be a place where people can exchange ideas about dental health and feel comfortable in a creative environment.

The idea of combining art and health is receiving increasing attention these days. For example, the World Health Organization (WHO) shows in a 2019 report that artistic activities can have a positive impact on health. Creative activities such as dancing, singing and writing play an important role in strengthening resilience and promoting social contacts. This is also proven by various projects in museums and galleries that have been successfully implemented in recent years. Kubi highlights how cultural education and health promotion can reinforce each other by pursuing common development goals.

Outlook for the opening

The official opening of the H40 Dental Life Center is scheduled for October this year. Until then, the construction site will remain open for creative events that combine art and health. The “Floridsdorf shows its teeth” event has already shown how diverse and inspiring this area can be. This is not only a place for dental treatments, but also a cultural center that brings people together.

It remains to be seen whether event attendees will respond well to this new combination of art and dental health. But one thing is certain: the creative streak provides a breath of fresh air and makes it clear that diverse approaches to health promotion are becoming increasingly important in Floridsdorf.

Finally, we would like to point out the maintenance work planned in the background, which will take place on August 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and could possibly lead to disruptions to the login and use of individual services. We apologize for any inconvenience and invite you to explore the full H40 Dental Life Center program soon.
