World Bazaar in Döbling: Fairly traded treasures for a good cause!
Things will get really exciting in Döbling from November 14th, because the World Bazaar opens its doors in the Frieda Grätzlzentrum. From Friday to Sunday, the focus is on products from fair suppliers, under the motto “So fair – so good!” meinkreis.at reported. This special event is organized by the “One World Group” in cooperation with the Weltladen. Located in the parish of Franz de Sales, Father Zeininger Platz 1, the location is more than a simple market; it is a place of encounter and conscious consumption.
Visitors can look forward to a wide range of fairly traded products. From gifts to jewelry and clothing to games, coffee, tea and spices - there is something for every taste. A very special highlight are the popular Advent calendars, which are already spreading lots of anticipation for the Christmas season. But that's not all, because the proceeds from this event will benefit a school project in Tanzania. Over 100 orphans are supported and given access to schooling, clothing and food.
Opening times and special promotions
The doors of the World Bazaar are open at the following times:
- Freitag: 19 bis 20 Uhr
- Samstag: 17 bis 20 Uhr
- Sonntag: 10.30 bis 12 Uhr und 17 bis 19.30 Uhr
But that's not all. A very special play is also performed on the evenings of the bazaar: Ödön von Horváth's “Tales from the Vienna Woods” promises cultural enrichment and entertainment.
A contribution to a better world
The idea behind the World Bazaar is not only to sell beautiful products, but also to actively participate in fair trade. The term “fairer” is used in a figurative sense to emphasize the positive aspects and the ethical background of trade. In this context, “Fairer climes” could be understood as an allusion to better circumstances and a fairer world, which not only concerns the hearts of many Austrians, but also finds a practical implementation in the bazaar.
Last but not least: If you want to have a clear conscience when shopping, you've come to the right place. Every purchase not only satisfies your own need for beautiful things, but also makes an important contribution to the education and care of needy children in Tanzania. A successful mix of enjoyment, education and social responsibility - it's really fun to have a good hand when shopping!
