These family foundations have shaped her - she describes her grandmother as a valuable caregiver who passed on love and values to her. During her school years, she attended a private lycée in Vienna and later studied journalism and theater studies, where she wrote her diploma thesis on Thomas Becket's historical novel in the theater.
It was only 18 years ago that she found the courage to visit her father's homeland in Ghana to explore her roots and learn more about her family. This trip gave her valuable insight into her own history and helped her form a strong bond with her half-siblings. She also sees her role as the first dark-skinned presenter in the media in a different light, even if she seems as if she attaches little importance to this label.
