Career opportunity at TU Darmstadt: Communications manager wanted for InnoBoost!
Vienna is once again proving to be a hotspot for innovation and education! There are currently two exciting positions advertised that are specifically in the area of digital university teaching. The Technical University of Darmstadt is looking for a communications manager for the innovative “InnoBoost” project. The aim of the project is to strengthen exchange activities in the areas of start-ups and technology transfer. The focus is on expanding internal framework conditions in order to transfer research results more quickly to the economy and society and to sensitize students and doctoral candidates to the exciting career path of founding a company. The position is temporary until December 31, 2028 and is based in the Science Communication Center, providing a great opportunity for communication professionals to develop their ideas in a dynamic environment.
In Vienna, the University of Economics and Business (WU), one of the largest business universities in Europe, also offers an interesting opportunity: it is looking for an eDeveloper. This part-time position is temporary from July 15, 2025 to December 31, 2027. With a minimum gross monthly salary of EUR 2,786.10, this position falls into the area of expanding XR applications and integrating AI-controlled 3D agents. The tasks include, among other things, supporting teachers in integrating these technologies into teaching as well as monitoring technological developments in the areas of XR and AI. Interested parties should submit their applications by June 25, 2025 to become part of these pioneering initiatives.
Technological Change in Higher Education
The importance of artificial intelligence in higher education is gaining momentum. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been promoting the use of AI in this area since the end of 2021. As part of the federal-state initiative “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education”, projects are being promoted that develop intelligent learning and examination systems and innovative study programs.
