There is a lively diplomatic scene in Vienna, especially in the 4th district, Wieden. There are over 100 embassies in the city, many of which enrich cultural and social life. But not all messages are accessible to the general public. However, this will soon change, as numerous tours of various diplomatic missions will take place in November and December 2023 as part of the “Open Embassy Days”. The event, which is organized in cooperation between the Wieden district administration and the embassies, invites you to find out more about the exciting world of diplomacy. District leader Lea Halbwidl calls on everyone interested to take part in the tours. What is particularly noteworthy is that the Czech Center Vienna is also taking part for the first time. On November 7th, from 2 p.m., the doors will open here for visitors who would like to immerse themselves in a dialogue about culture, language and Czech-Austrian relations.

Insights into Czech diplomacy

The Czech Embassy, ​​headed by Ambassador Dr. Jan Koukal, is located at Penzingerstrasse 11-13 in Vienna. A wide variety of matters are taken care of here, including passport and administrative law issues for Czech citizens in Austria.
