The Viennese hotel landscape is getting a breath of fresh air: The Cocoon Hotel Group has decided to take over the popular boutique hotel Stadthalle. The company, which already operates two hotels in Austria, is thus expanding its portfolio in the capital. From September 1, 2025, the hotel in the 15th district will now belong to the Cocoon family.
The boutique hotel is known for its exceptional greenery, which is reflected in a beautiful courtyard and a lavender roof. Former owner Michaela Reitterer, who passionately ran the hotel for many years, placed a strong emphasis on sustainability and local connections. Despite the change in ownership, the hotel's sustainable concept remains intact while new design impulses and amenities are introduced.

The planned renovation of the hotel is scheduled to start in early 2026. The aim is to reposition the hotel as a modern Cocoon lifestyle hotel. The existing sustainable elements such as the lavender roof will be retained while the rooms will be adapted to new design ideas.
