However, there are also complaints about the increasing bureaucratization that affects fire service.
A look at the fire brigade history
A look at the history of the fire brigade shows that the part of the fire protection has long been one of the corporate pillars of society. Already in the Roman Empire there was a kind of fire brigade with 600 slaves in 21 BC. BC and with the advent of urban structures, the need for organized fire protection also grew. In Europe, the volunteer fire brigades often developed from gymnastics clubs, while the first professional fire brigade in Vienna was founded in 1686.
These long traditions underline the importance that the fire service has and still has over the centuries. In Germany, the first volunteer fire brigade was created in Meißen in 1841, which should show how important this service is for the security of the citizens.
The upcoming celebrations in Babensham are not only an occasion for joy and festivity, but also a memory of the tireless work and the commitment of the firefighters, whose commitment is based on the service for the community.
