In the most recent round of 2nd class Marchfeld there was a lot for the fans to celebrate again. Großengersdorf remains in first place in the table after an impressive 6-1 win in the derby against Obersdorf. With this clear home win, they once again underline their title ambitions and maintain a comfortable lead over their pursuers.
But there is also reason to be happy in Breitensee. The local team played to a 2-2 draw against Groß-Schweinbarth and has now remained undefeated in home games for a year. This impressive series creates high spirits among the fans and shows that the team consistently delivers good performances.
Thrilling game in Breitensee
The game started promisingly for Groß-Schweinbarth, which took the lead in the 60th minute with a free kick goal from Andreas Mauser. However, it didn't take long until Manfred Steiner equalized for Breitensee from a corner and gave the home fans new momentum. But the game took a twist when Rene Stejskal gave Groß-Schweinbarth the lead again with a penalty after a foul on Mauser.
However, the final chord of the game belonged to the Breitensee team. In the 86th minute, Fabian Hemmelmeyer scored the much celebrated equalizer after a successful combination with Steiner and Dusan Krcho. The home team's supporters were very happy about winning this point and it consolidated Breitensee's status as a difficult opponent to beat.
