On October 31, 2025, the time had come: Environment Minister Norbert Totschnig awarded the Austrian and European Ecolabel to 25 companies that make a significant contribution to environmental protection with their services. Six of these award-winning companies come from Vienna, and they impressively show how different commitment to our environment can be.
The awarded Viennese companies are:

- Gradwohl Printproduktionen Ges.m.b.H. (Landstraße)
- Ekologische Reinigungs- und Pflege GmbH (Penzing)
- Rechenzentrum der Stadt Wien GmbH (Leopoldstadt)
- EUREST Restaurationsbetriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. c/o ORF Küniglberg (Hietzing)
Diverse industries represented
The winning companies deal with a wide range of industries, including construction and living, office and printing, cleaning, catering, as well as financial products and energy and mobility. This diversity is also reflected in the wide range of projects submitted, which must meet strict environmental criteria in order to receive the coveted seal.
The Austrian Ecolabel has been the most important state-certified environmental seal in Austria for 35 years, while the EU Ecolabel has been recognized as a cross-border environmental seal of quality since 1992. Both awards stand for high quality and longevity.
