The senders involved ZDF from Germany, ORF from Austria and SRF from Switzerland confirmed the cooperation at the 58th co -production conference in Zurich. These joint Eurovision expenses are planned for the period 2025/2026 and will deal with unexplained crimes from the respective neighboring countries. This return is particularly gratifying, since the last "file number XY" show with Austrian participation was already broadcast in December 2002, as TVSerien.de added.
a look into the past
Many years ago, live circuits to Vienna and Zurich were an integral part of the show. In Austria, Peter Nidetzky (1940-2024) and Konrad Toenz (1939-2015) in Switzerland was the voice that led the audience through the cases. The show, which was conceived by Eduard Zimmermann (1929-2009) and is moderated by Rudi Cerne for a long time, has broadcast over 600 episodes since 1967 and thus won a loyal audience.
After the separation from ORF and SRF in the early 2000s, the production of such programs was noticeably reduced. Criminal cases from Switzerland and Austria were only treated sporadically. This return will now provide a breath of fresh air and new crime stories.
expected formats
In the future, the audience can also look forward to new formats such as the crime series "Obersee" with Franziska Weisz. The three channels also plan the continuation of other popular formats such as "The Dream Ship" and "The Berg Doctor". The topics of the annual co -production conference range from digitization and changed media use to cultural diversity and common values.
The security situation and law enforcement in Europe remains the topic for the media - and so "file number XY" will also provide its part to clarify. According to Eurostat are crime data in an ongoing change, and the viewers can prepare for exciting educational work.
It remains to be seen how the new episodes of the audience: arrive inside, but the anticipation for the return of "file number XY" is definitely big!
