A look into the past

Many years ago, live broadcasts to Vienna and Zurich were an integral part of the broadcast. In Austria, Peter Nidetzky (1940-2024) and in Switzerland, Konrad Toenz (1939-2015) was the voice that guided viewers through the falls. The show, which was conceived by Eduard Zimmermann (1929-2009) and was hosted by Rudi Cerne for a long time, has broadcast over 600 episodes since 1967 and has thus gained a loyal audience.

After the separation of ORF and SRF in the early 2000s, the production of such programs fell noticeably. Criminal cases from Switzerland and Austria were only dealt with sporadically. This return will now provide a breath of fresh air and new crime stories.

Expected formats

In the future, viewers can also look forward to new formats such as the crime series “Obersee” with Franziska Weisz. The three channels also plan to continue other popular formats such as “Das Traumschiff” and “Der Bergdoktor”.
