Guests of honor included Dr. Jolanta Miśkowiec, director of the Polish Institute in Vienna, and Dr. Thomas Zehetner, the Vice Chancellor's foreign policy advisor. At the opening, the Ringturm was highlighted as a symbol of international friendship and cultural exchange. Zehetner emphasized that the Ringturm is not only an architectural highlight of Vienna, but also a place that builds bridges between cultures. My district reports that...

Architectural modernism in Krakow is currently being highlighted in an accompanying exhibition in the Ringturm, which will run until June 20th. This exhibition is a further step towards making contemporary Polish art more visible in Vienna. District leader Markus Figl (ÖVP) praised the initiative, which is intended to appeal not only to art enthusiasts but also to a broader public.

Cultural exchange in focus

The work of art will be visible on the Ringturm until the end of September. The materials are then transformed into fashionable shoppers, giving the installation an additional dimension while also being sustainable. Mag. Robert Lasshofer, Chairman of the Board of the Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein, underlined the symbolic meaning of the veiling for Austrian-Polish relations. “Art can create connections, and that’s exactly what we want to achieve with our project,” says Lasshofer. My district emphasizes that...
