FPÖ brings about the motion of no confidence against hacker: crisis in the Viennese healthcare system!
In the Vienna City Hall, it is bubbling: The freedom in Vienna have announced that the SPÖ will be entertained a no confidence against health city councilor Peter Hacker. Freedom politicians, including club boss Maximilian Kraus and FPÖ boss Dominik Nepp, have raised sharp allegations against the city council and see the main culprit at the partly disastrous conditions in the Vienna health system. Meinzärzirk reports that Hacker, according to the FPÖ
"Hacker refrains from taking responsibility and is therefore lacking up to recognition", criticizes Nepp, referring to the enormous challenges that the Vienna health system must currently cope with. Lack of staff and long waiting times in the hospitals burden both doctors and patients. These grievances have led to the fact that they have to be waiting for gang beds and employees are overloaded. "The health of the Viennese must be in the top priority," emphasizes Nepp.
political support for the application for no confidence
The FPÖ, however, rely on the support of another party to get the application and therefore turns to the ÖVP. Kraus asks the People's Party to become active and to join the motion for no confidence. The FPÖ also criticizes the role of Mayor Michael Ludwig, who holds on Hacker, despite the obvious difficulties. "We need fundamental reforms and a comprehensive concept for fair and safe care," says Nepp.
The Vienna health system is referred to as a renovation case in a current analysis. Further reports speak of numerous risk ads and blocked stations that document the already critical situation in the facilities. The SPÖ City Councilor Hacker is in the crossfire of criticism: he had failed to react to the bad conditions and take responsibility. Christian Meidlinger, club chairman of the SPÖ, assigns the FPÖ a destructive approach and describes the current proportion of no confidence as polemical and unfounded.
back to the roots of criticism
The Minister of Health himself, Peter Hacker, has repeatedly granted himself against the allegations. He is particularly important for criticism of private insurance because they are of great importance for the health system. According to the FPÖ, however, Hacker would not take the necessary steps to relieve and reform the system. "Empty promises and deterioration in medical care are worried," says Nepp, stating that the attractiveness of the Viennese health system is significantly decreasing for specialists.
In one point, however, everyone involved agrees: the health of the Viennese population must come back to the fore. The FPÖ made a request for no confidence against Hacker in September 2024, but was rejected at the time. Now it will be shown whether the current political framework will allow a different decision.
The ÖVP has already announced that the parliamentary possibilities regarding the motion of distrust. Health and social spokeswoman Ingrid Korosec emphasizes that her focus is on specific solutions- the question remains whether they will come promptly.
