On September 1, 2025, a digital reform was presented that aims to increase transparency in district politics. Initiated by the parties Neos and SPÖ, this reform should include the online availability of meeting minutes and inquiries as well as the establishment of media libraries. A central component is the public broadcast of district council meetings via livestream. This measure has the potential to make politics more accessible and involve citizens more in the political process.
However, implementation still faces challenges. As noted, motions and minutes in the Inner City are scheduled but not available immediately after the meetings.
