A fresh wind is blowing in the heart of Hernals: The Rainer Group has started renting out the new residential and commercial building “Heha 120”. Completion of the property at Hernalser Hauptstraße 120 is imminent; the move is planned for July 1, 2025. The new building replaces an old house in need of renovation and thus brings new life to the area.
The project includes a total of 20 rental apartments and two commercial spaces on the ground floor. The living spaces vary between 35 and 82 square meters, so that both singles and families can find the right home here. In total, the project provides around 1,200 square meters of living space. Future tenants will also have access to a hobby room and a small children's playground, which is particularly beneficial for families. The retail space is air-conditioned and equipped with modern amenities, including street-side displays and accessible basement storage areas.
Perfect transport connections and leisure opportunities
The location could hardly be better: Hernalser Hauptstrasse serves as an important access road from the Tulln Basin and is heavily frequented. A short three-minute walk to the tram stop ensures excellent connections. The new U5 line will also connect the 17th district to the subway network in the near future, which should make commuting even easier. According to wien.neos.eu, Elterleinplatz will be reachable in less than 10 minutes.
Sports and leisure activities are also no strangers nearby: the postal sports field offers numerous options, including 45 tennis courts, beach volleyball courts and a squash hall. Appropriate facilities are also available for fans of football and other sports. Culturally, you can go for a walk in the Vienna Metropol in just 11 minutes or reach the Congress Pool within 15 minutes on foot.
Design of Hernalser Hauptstraße
Hernalser Hauptstraße is also currently being redesigned to better meet the needs of residents. A citizen survey that took place in October 2022 attracted over 760 participants. The aim is to make the side streets from Rosensteingasse to Dornbach more livable through greenery and recreational opportunities, reports vienna.at. The reconstruction is necessary so that the street can continue to meet all requirements in the future, especially since the traffic situation in this heavily frequented area will change due to the connection to the subway.
With the impending completion of “Heha 120” and the planned changes in the surrounding area, Hernalser Hauptstrasse is well on the way to developing into an attractive place to live and live. The Rainer Group is once again showing how urban life in Vienna can be redesigned - right in one of the city's liveliest districts.
