Noise stress in Floridsdorf: Eventcenter Mozaik causes trouble among residents!
In Vienna-Floridsdorf, the Mozaik Event Center currently creates a vortex. Local residents complain about massive noise and uninvited disturbances of rest, which often break over the neighborhood from 8:00 p.m. District head Georg Papai (SPÖ) takes the concerns of the citizens seriously and wants to clarify the situation. The event center, which is mainly used for weddings and offers space for hundreds of guests, addresses younger visitors in particular, but these celebrations have a prize for the neighbors.
According to reports, the noise is particularly loud in the evening, especially from 10 p.m. Windows have to be closed and many residents report that sleeping at midnight becomes almost impossible, since loud shouting and horns can be heard on the street. A resident, Mr. K., said that nothing had changed for months and that it was time to take measures. Last week there were also riots that further fueled the situation. The FPÖ therefore calls for the immediate closure of the event center, an opinion that is given to neighbors. At a call for help from the residents, district leader Papai has convened a conversation with the club board, tenants and the police. The first round was positive, but the residents hope for noticeable changes. On September 26th there will be further advice that is considered a crisis meeting. The goal of this round: develop solutions that make it possible to allow celebrations in Floridsdorf without falling loaded by the neighbors.
