Ten apprentices are starting their careers at NÖM: A new beginning in Baden!
On September 5, 2024, the time had come: eleven young people in Baden began their journey into the professional world by starting their training at NÖM. At the start of the apprenticeship training, important personalities such as Josef Simon, board member of NÖM AG, and Georg Kammerer, the apprentice representative, were present to wish the new apprentices much success. This ceremony marked the beginning of a promising career in an important sector.
The new apprentices consist of a total of fourteen talented people who are being trained in the areas of milk technology and mechatronics. These include three mechatronics engineers and a milk technologist. This practice-oriented training is accompanied by a combination of modern technology and personal support. The NÖM apprentice team is rounded off by Thomas Horvath, the apprentice trainer for mechatronics engineers, and Martina Bailer from recruiting.

Here is an overview of the apprentices who are looking forward to their new challenges:

The beginning of September was a special day not only for the apprentices, but also for NÖM, which has a strong commitment to training young people. This dual training not only offers insights into company practice, but also theoretical knowledge that is imparted by attending vocational school. Like this, among other things Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics explains, after completing nine years of compulsory schooling, students can begin an apprenticeship, which usually lasts two to four years.
The benefits of teaching
A key advantage of teaching in Austria is the close integration of practice and theory, which turns graduates into sought-after specialists. Almost 40 percent of young people opt for an apprenticeship, which underlines the popularity of this career path. The apprenticeship qualification that occurs at the end of the training is considered a recognized qualification on the job market. Information about apprenticeships and the dual system can be found in the brochure “What do you already know about apprenticeship training?” summarized, which is available to potential apprentices.
With such a commitment to training, the NÖM shows that it really has something to do. We can only wish the new apprentices much success in their future tasks! A great step towards your professional future has begun.
