The celebration took place on September 4th in the heart of the Danube cityCasa Kagranits 15th anniversary. At a happy party that took place in the garden of the house, companions, politicians and residents came together to properly celebrate this special occasion. Live music and a variety of culinary offerings created an exuberant atmosphere that enabled everyone present to experience the sense of community that characterizes the house.
Enisa Nedzibovic, the managing director of Casa Leben, highlighted the role of the nursing home in her speechAt homeandPlace of communityout. “Casa Kagran is not only a place where care is offered, but also a space where friendships are formed and joy of life is shared,” says Nedzibovic. The house, which opened in 2010, houses ten communities, each with 14 people who are cared for at different levels of care.
Active support and a wide range of offers
Casa Kagran offers its residents a wide range of activities that go beyond pure care. The offers include creative activities, excursions and animal therapy, which are intended to strengthen the well-being and quality of life of seniors. A particular focus is on active care, which aims to promote the residents' independence for as long as possible.
District leader Ernst Nevrivy (SPÖ) was also there and emphasized the important role of Casa Kagran for the community. “Professional care is offered here in a family atmosphere, which is very popular in Vienna,” said Nevrivy. These statements are supported by Monika Badilla, deputy managing director of the Vienna Social Fund, who praised the quality of care at the Casa. Last year, the Vienna Social Fund supported over 58,590 people in the area of care and support.
A part of a larger whole
Casa Kagran is not alone, but part of a comprehensive care concept in Vienna. An important foundation stone was laid with the introduction of the “Geriatrics Concept 2015” in 2005, which is intended to ensure affordable professional care for chronically ill residents. In recent years, the “Strategic Concept for Care and Support in Vienna 2030” has developed in order to meet the ever-increasing requirements. The sub-company “Geriatric centers and nursing homes of the City of Vienna with social medical care” is part of the Vienna Health Association, which was recently renamed to reflect its comprehensive range of healthcare services.
The 15th anniversary of Casa Kagran shows how valuable good care and a strong sense of community are for the quality of life of seniors. As the celebration impressively demonstrated, Casa Kagran is much more than just a nursing home - it is a place where life is celebrated.
