Döbling celebrated a summer party on August 15, 2025 with 3,000 guests, DJs and food trucks at the after-work event “Office Closing”.

Yesterday evening the summer festival of the popular after-work event series “Office Closing” was celebrated in the picturesque Cobenzl Weitsicht in Döbling. Under the motto “Let’s Celebrate Summer”, almost 3,000 guests came together in wonderful summer weather to enjoy life and the upcoming holiday season. Admission was free, which made the event particularly attractive.
The celebrants also included some prominent faces, including Herby Stanonik, Selina Graf, Christina Cervenka, Petra Stumpf, Tanja Duhovich and Nikola Dudek. The music on three different floors was presented by DJs such as Stari, 2 Hot, Elephant, Cuepoint, Houseverstand and Kofiuf and created an exuberant atmosphere.
A feast for all senses
The culinary offering also left nothing to be desired: seven outdoor and indoor bars as well as several food trucks, including Vapiano with delicious pizza and pasta creations, ensured that no one went hungry. Since its founding in January 2013, “Office Closing” has established itself as an indispensable meeting place for reworkers. The event series takes place every last Thursday of the month at the O-Klub Vienna.
The two founders Patrik Gräfter and Michael Posch hit the jackpot with their idea for the event, and not just in Vienna. After the successful expansion to Munich in 2017, the reopening in Stuttgart is now on the agenda in February 2025. The goal is to create a unique experience that brings people together after work.
Another visit to the popular location
The Cobenzl Weitsicht served as a festive backdrop for the summer festival for the second time. With a breathtaking view of the city, this place is highly valued by the organizers. It fits perfectly into the concept that promotes a sense of community and the joy of celebrating.
Although most guests were just looking for fun and variety, unpleasant topics were not completely left out of the discussion. In recent days, a disturbing case has been reported in the United States in which the Justice Department plans to seek the death penalty against Teresa Youngblut, who is linked to a fatal attack on a US border guard. Such reports make it clear that other, serious events are also taking place in the background.
But today the focus was on the celebratory. Whether enjoying delicious food or listening to rousing music - the guests in Döbling didn't let their good mood be spoiled and enjoyed the summer festival to the fullest.
For everyone who wasn't able to experience the wonderful atmosphere: the “Office Closing” event series still has a lot to offer, while planning for the next big festival is already in full swing.
