Schlumberger opens modern House of Sparkling” in Müllendorf!

On October 28, 2025, the time had finally come: Schlumberger celebrated the opening of its new production site “House of Sparkling” in Müllendorf, Burgenland. Burgenland's state councilor Daniela Winkler and mayor Werner Huf were present, who, together with managing director Florian Czink, experienced the blessing of the new facility by cathedral priest Toni Faber and Damian Prus. The site, which was built on an impressive 12 hectares, is considered one of the most modern sparkling wine production facilities that Europe has to offer and can look back on an investment in the mid double-digit million range, as news.at reports.

After a construction period of two years, the new production facility will be responsible for bottling up to three million liters of sparkling wine per year. Managing director Czink particularly emphasizes the Austrian origin of the grapes and the regional materials used for the packaging. The new “House of Sparkling” combines raw sparkling wine storage and production facilities, which not only increases efficiency but also significantly reduces transport routes. This process is expected to save around 1,000 truck trips annually, which makes a significant contribution to sustainability. A photovoltaic system with 500 kWp on the roof to support the energy supply was also designed to the most modern standards, as retailreport.at notes.

A look into the future

The first bottles of the new Schlumberger quality are expected to roll off the production line in mid-2025. While the new structures are being created in Müllendorf, the existing production facility in Vienna-Heiligenstadt will remain in the future as a company headquarters and visitor world. This two-pronged approach is intended to help ensure and continuously develop high quality standards.

Schlumberger has set itself ambitious goals: The new system will not only increase the quality of the sparkling wine, but also sustainably optimize the production processes. The possibility of bottling sparkling wines from other wineries opens up additional perspectives that are extremely attractive for business partners. The company is perceived not only as an innovator in the industry, but also as a responsible player in the regional economy.

The managing director emphasizes that all materials used, from the grapes to the packaging, come from Austria. This approach is not only appreciated by customers, but is also intended to increase awareness of local products and promote connection to the region. Schlumberger's new rooms in Müllendorf represent a successful connection between tradition and modernity in sparkling wine production.

At a time when sustainability is more important than ever, Schlumberger not only focuses on quality, but also on efficiency. With this new location, the company is ideally equipped to meet the challenges of the future. In Müllendorf, people remain optimistic and excited about what developments are to come.
