New Raiffeisenbank building: topic of conversation in St. Veit!
A lot is happening in St. Veit/Glan: Raiffeisenbank Mittelkärnten is pushing ahead with the construction of its new competence center, which will not only stimulate the local economy, but will also have a lasting impact on the cityscape. With an investment sum of around four million euros, this new building aims to create a visible transition between history and modernity. During a groundbreaking ceremony last week, board member Franz Maier emphasized the commitment to the Central Carinthia region and the importance of the project for the entire community. Also present were Mayor Martin Kulmer and city building department manager Johann Staudacher-Allmann, who expressly welcomed the initiative.
Raiffeisenbank will not only expand its competence center, but also sustainably consolidate its place in the city. The impressive structure is built on several dark steles and stands out from the surrounding buildings with its strikingly bright roof, which is reminiscent of a floating monolith. This makes it a new landmark - in the middle of the historic city center, which gains additional charm through the exposure of the city wall and the old kennel wall. Completion of the new building is scheduled for October 2025, which will mark the start of new services and jobs in the region.
Architecture that gets people talking
The architecture of the new building is the focus of discussions among residents. The brightly designed interiors with large windows and warm colors give the building a welcoming feel. The strict design of the former bank building, which was built in 1974, was previously criticized, so the RLB decided to invest in the future. Architect Helmut Rainer-Marinello has made it his mission to reflect the values of the Raiffeisenbank through modern, environmentally friendly architecture.
Particularly interesting is the planned ÖGNI platinum certification, which is intended to make the building a pioneer in sustainability. With flexible office space, the new building will also be able to respond to future needs. Raiffeisenbank not only has its own company's recovery in mind, but also assumes responsibility for the region.
A new place in Klagenfurt
The developments in St. Veit and Klagenfurt clearly show that Raiffeisenbank is ready to invest in its locations and to steer into the future with a breath of fresh air. The coming months promise exciting changes that will have a positive impact on both residents and visitors.
