Getting to the Grand Prix made easy

ÖBB's goal is clear: a stress-free journey for all Formula 1 fans who want to treat themselves to an exciting day of motorsport in Spielberg. In particular, the connections to Knittelfeld will be significantly expanded to accommodate the large crowds. From there you can take the free shuttle bus to the racing site. These run every 20 minutes from Friday to Sunday, which promises a quick journey as usual, as the ÖBB-Presse further explains.

But alternative travel options are also available. Visitors can switch to bicycles, although cyclists can cover the last few meters by bike until the last part of the route. In addition, central motorcycle parking spaces are available to accommodate all road users. If you want to travel by car, you should be particularly prepared given the traffic situation on weekend days, as there will be delays on the S6 Semmering expressway due to construction sites. Speedweek therefore recommends traveling by train or shuttle bus.

Shuttle buses and traffic information

The shuttle buses from Knittelfeld to the Red Bull Ring start their service from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and guarantee an easy and uncomplicated onward journey. Return transport is also possible in the evening until 11:00 p.m., meaning that all visitors can get home comfortably after the race day. In addition, a Park & Bike parking lot will be set up at Therme Fohnsdorf, from where well-marked cycle paths lead to the bicycle parking spaces.

With these expanded train connections and travel options, the Formula 1 weekend in Spielberg is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience for motorsport fans from all over Austria!
