Volbeat conquer Vienna: New album and innovative sounds in autumn!

Danish rock band Volbeat have announced their return to the scene with a new album that will significantly change the group's musical landscape. Her latest work “God of Angels Trust” will be published on June 6, 2025. After more than 20 years in the music business, the musicians around frontman Michael Poulsen are forced to question their own formula for success. In an interview, Poulsen explains that there are now fewer rules and structures when it comes to songwriting - a creative process that is very different from previous albums. However, more traditional structures can be found in songs like “Acid Rain,” “Time Will Heal,” and “Lonely Fields.” The latter is particularly emotional, inspired by Poulsen's memories of his late father. In “Time Will Heal” the band also addresses personal low points and loss. “Demonic Depression” deals with mental crises based on the experiences of a friend. These themes paint a completely new picture of the band and show that Volbeat also process deep emotions in their music.

The tour and the album

Volbeat will promote their new album with a world tour titled “Greatest Of All Tours Worldwide”. The first concerts will take place in September and October 2025 in the Wiener Stadthalle, specifically on September 30th and October 1st. The Danish rockers receive support from the bands Bush and Witch Fever. This tour promises to be a highlight for fans, as the band now has ten #1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart - a feat achieved by few bands outside of North America. Volbeat was founded in October 2001 by Michael Poulsen after his departure from the death metal band Dominus.
