Music, light and creativity: studio session in Munich on June 21st!

A special event is coming up: On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Vienna Munich Collective invites you to a unique studio session in HALL 6 of the Creative Quarter. From 8:00 p.m., visitors can experience atmospheric networking amidst music and light. The event aims to bring creative minds from Munich and Vienna together and create interactive, eventful moments. It is a barrier-free event and offers all art and music enthusiasts the opportunity to talk to each other and find inspiration.

The musical part of the event promises a varied program. First up is the Munich band PAAR, who will delight the audience with their post punk and cold wave sound. They recently released their debut album, The Necessity of Necessity.
In addition, the formation INK, which was only founded in 2023, brings a breath of fresh air to the HALLE with their dark rock and cross genre mix. Their latest work, the EP “Me Again”, is sure to cause a stir. The line-up is completed by the indie pop band K.S.P. from Vienna, which was launched as part of the Pause project.

A highlight in the evening

As the after-show act, the Viennese group ATOMSTAAT will provide an explosive musical experience. They will shake the stage with their acid rock and drone rock. The two members Matthias Langer and Hannes Buchwieser have also come up with something very special: a captivating video art projection from JDB Records that rounds off the experience.

The creative quarter itself has undergone a remarkable change in recent years. In the heart of Munich, it extends over 20 hectares on former military land and combines art, culture, business and living space in an urban usage concept. Around 385 apartments, a children's home and various cultural and social institutions are being built here. The listed jutier and barrel halls will be fundamentally repaired and converted to meet the needs of artists and cultural workers. Thanks to a careful transformation, a place of inspiration is created where creative minds can come together. The city council decided to develop the creative laboratory, which is closely linked to the Munich Gewerbehof- und Technologiezentrumsgesellschaft mbH (MGH), back in 2019.

A look into the future

Another notable element of the creative quarter is the planned creative park, which will serve as a central, public green space. This area will connect Heßstrasse and Dachauer Strasse and thus offer space for a variety of activities. Visitors can experience, among other things, concerts, workshops, readings and performances in Import Export, which is considered the heart of the creative quarter.

The creative quarter up there on Dachauer Straße has established itself not just as an anonymous city gem, but as a lively contact point for artists and creative entrepreneurs. The last city walk, which took place as part of the “Munich has Plan” exhibition, was a prime example of the commitment shown here. Ideas and visions meet here to shape the future together.

The studio session on June 21st is an excellent opportunity to experience this vision up close and network with like-minded people. Further information about tickets and details about the event have not yet been announced, but anticipation is great!
