Metro Vienna is building charging stations: electric vehicles fill up with green electricity!
There is currently a lot happening in the area of electromobility in Vienna. An exciting project is being launched by Metro in Simmering, Amic Energy and Smatrics: Fast charging stations are to be expanded, which not only offer real added value for electric vehicles, but also improve the shopping experience. According to reports from Business News This offers a great opportunity for customers to charge with green electricity while shopping and at the same time attract new customer groups to the locations. Ronald Lausch, CSO at Smatrics, highlights the advantages of the project, while Andreas Sernetz, co-owner of Amic Energy, emphasizes the location advantage of proximity to the A4 and the airport.
A special highlight will be a visible display board that will bring more transparency to the world of electromobility. This means customers can always keep an eye on how their vehicles are being charged. In times when awareness of sustainable energy is growing, this step is actually an important signal.
New possibilities for e-car drivers
Electromobility has developed rapidly in recent years, and the diverse possibilities of bidirectional charging are heating up the discussion. From 2025, all electricity providers will have to offer time-variable electricity tariffs, which will give electric car owners an incredible advantage. With bidirectional charging, drivers can not only store electricity, but also release it into the public power grid. This technology is seen as the key to a flexible energy system and could make a decisive contribution to stabilizing the power grid.
Like that Federal Ministry of Economics explained, three variants of bidirectional charging are relevant:
- Vehicle-to-load (V2L): E-Auto als mobiler Stromspeicher für Geräte.
- Vehicle-to-home (V2H): E-Auto speichert Strom für den eigenen Haushalt.
- Vehicle-to-grid (V2G): E-Auto speist Strom ins öffentliche Netz zurück.
With such innovations, Austria is heading towards an impressive goal: The “European Coalition of the Willing for Bidirectional Charging” was founded to make the implementation marketable by 2025. More than 150 experts from around 75 companies come together here.
Rethinking allergy time and technology
Thanks to the pairing with the MyDyson app, users have the opportunity to receive real-time reports on air quality. Additionally, the Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 provides thermal comfort, cooling on warm days while working quietly in the background.
Whether on the street or at home – developments in the areas of electromobility and air quality make life in Vienna not only more environmentally friendly, but also more pleasant.
