Diversity in Ottakring: Grätzlmesse delights guests at Haus Liebhartstal!

The joy of community has been in full display in the last few days Liebhartstal House celebrated when the second Grätzlmesse “z’Haus in Ottakring” took place. This event took place at the end of September at Ottakringer Straße 264 and was organized by the “Häuser zum Leben”. The main goal of the fair? To create a place for information, exchange and shared experiences for all generations.

In bright sunshine, visitors were able to explore numerous information stands on social offers. Among other things, important organizations such as the Vienna Social Fund, the Grätzl Police, the Ottakring Clinic, the Pensioners' Association, the Workers' Samaritan Association and SOHO in Ottakring were there. At the opening, district leader Stefanie Lamp (SPÖ) spoke full of praise for Haus Liebhartstal, which has established itself as a lively meeting place for the district's residents.

Diversity and entertainment for everyone

The trade fair offered a colorful program that not only included information, but also musical and culinary highlights. “We offer entertainment for all generations,” says director Ulrike Geier-Plalaschke. In addition to interesting lectures on topics such as dementia and power of attorney, there was also a wide range of freshly prepared dishes from the in-house kitchen as well as home-brewed beer from the Haus zur Leben brewery - you are definitely doing a good deal with quality here!

Visitors not only had the opportunity to find out about social offers, but were also able to talk directly to the partners. The rescue workers from the Samaritan Association presented their services, while the Grätzl police officers not only gave safety tips but were also available to take funny selfies. “The great interest shows how strong the social networks are in Ottakring,” emphasized Christian Hennefeind, managing director of Houses for Living.

Award for Haus Liebhartstal

A special highlight of the event was the awarding of Liebhartstal with this year's Vienna Health Prize. “This recognition is a sign of the great commitment of our team,” explained Simon Bluma, deputy managing director of Houses to Live. The employees continuously work to promote coexistence and the quality of life of seniors, which is clearly reflected in such events.

Overall, the Grätzlmesse “z’Haus in Ottakring” shows that there is a lively and diverse community in the district that actively supports and networks with one another. We can only hope that such initiatives will continue in the future to further strengthen the sense of community.
