On September 27, 2025, the exciting Vienna table tennis district league will open in the table tennis hall of the Tischtennis Hobby Wien association. This newly launched league, which was founded at the beginning of the year, has quickly established itself as a popular destination for amateur and club players. Over 25 matches took place on the opening day, in which teams from the districts of Donaustadt, Floridsdorf, Leopoldstadt, Ottakring, Simmering and Favoriten fought for the day's victory.
The big winner of the day was the team from Leopoldstadt, who narrowly won against the Donaustadt. The rankings on this exciting matchday are as follows:

Table tennis tradition in Vienna
The table tennis tradition in Vienna has a long history, which began in 1901 in the Hietzinger Sports Club.
