Danube Island Festival 2025: Stars, sun and endless fun in Vienna!

On June 22, 2025, the Danube Island will be transformed into a pulsating festival area: the legendary Danube Island Festival (DIF) thrilled people on the second day with bright sunshine and free entry. The motto "Your island. Real moments." attracted tens of thousands of music lovers and families. Visitors could expect a varied program with over 600 hours of live entertainment on 16 stages, dedicated to the enjoyment of music and culture. Loud MyDistrict Numerous artists performed, including the popular No Angels, Kim Wilde and JOSH. with special guests such as Esther Graf and Herbert Pixner.

The festival's line-up promised diversity: In addition to international stars, the festival also offered a stage for local talent. Over 200 national and international artists filled the stages and provided unforgettable experiences. The rock stage offered powerful sounds with acts like Halestorm and Thundermother, while pop and pop greats shone on the festival stage. 1000things highlights that viewers could also rely on young talents such as Miss Peter and One Last Glance.

Programs and highlights

The third day of the festival, which took place on Sunday, June 22nd, promised to continue with an exciting program. Visitors could look forward to acts like Rag’n’Bone Man and AUT of ORDA. On Saturday, the No Angels and Kim Wilde, among others, performed, while JOSH. in the evening hours was the crowning conclusion of the day. Particularly noteworthy was the Rock The Island Contest, where local newcomers had the chance to perform on the big stage and win prize money of 1,500 euros. Six winning bands were selected to entertain listeners with fresh sounds. The Rock The Island Contest 4 Kids was particularly well received by younger festival visitors, where the Schenkis rocked the stage on the children's island.

As usual, there were some rules to follow on the festival grounds. Prohibited items such as bicycles, large bags and alcoholic drinks should guarantee the safety and well-being of all visitors. A wide range of food stalls catered for everyone's physical well-being.
