An exciting return at SK Rapid Wien! Center forward Rene Kriwak has signed his contract until the summer of 2026 and is now strengthening Rapid II's offensive. After a stay in the Netherlands, the 1.98 meter tall player is returning to Hütteldorf and should help the team decisively kicker reported.
Kriwak started his career in the youth ranks of SC Markgrafneusiedl before moving to SV Groß-Schweinbarth as an eight-year-old. In 2011 he finally found himself in the Admira youth academy, where he consolidated his footballing fundamentals. With this experience behind him, he made it to Rapid in 2021, where he scored eight goals in 15 games for Rapid II in a strong first phase and also contributed two goals for the first team.

After his first engagement in Hütteldorf, which ended after eight months, Kriwak played for TSV Hartberg in the Bundesliga and gained valuable experience. This was followed by two years at FC Dordrecht in the Dutch second division, where he scored an impressive 13 goals in 33 games. Over Rapid the player is particularly happy: “I’m happy to be back in Vienna and want to help the team,” said Kriwak when he signed his contract.
With his return, the coaching team around head coach Jürgen Kerber and sports director Markus Katzer have shown a good hand. The club is not only relying on Kriwak's extensive playing experience, but also on his ability to regularly make the net fidget.

Kriwak's signing brings back memories of a long tradition of successful footballers from Austria. Names like Hans Krankl and David Alaba represent the great history of domestic football. Krankl, known for his goal threat, and Alaba, who is now shining at Real Madrid, shape the image of Austrian football at international level.
