Rapper en6o brutally attacked in front of a Viennese club – shock for fans!
A terrible incident happened last night around 3:40 a.m. in front of the “Babenberger Passage” discotheque on Burgring in Vienna. The 24-year-old rapper “en6o” and his friends were aggressively attacked outside the club, which escalated an argument between the young men and four unknown perpetrators. According to reports from Today The rapper was subsequently thrown to the ground and kicked in the face with full force by one of the attackers.
The consequences for the artist were serious: he suffered serious injuries and had to undergo emergency surgery immediately. While the police confirmed the verbal and physical altercation, the perpetrators fled towards Museumsplatz and initial searches were unsuccessful. In the meantime, a complaint has been filed against unknown persons on suspicion of intentionally causing serious bodily harm, and the investigation is already underway.
Another example of violence in Vienna
In another incident that moved the Viennese public, an influencer of Indian origin was recently convicted of bodily harm at the Vienna Regional Court. In August 2024 he was involved in a fight at the main train station in which he was accused of injuring another man with a blank gun. The sentence was three months in prison, while he was acquitted of more serious charges such as coercion and extortion. Loud Vienna.at The judge remained sympathetic to the defendant due to “many ambiguities” surrounding the allegations, which were not sufficient for a conviction.
Unfortunately, the violence that can be observed in Austrian society is not an isolated case. According to a study by Statistics Austria 23.5% of women aged 15 and over have experienced physical violence in or outside of intimate relationships. When sexual violence is taken into account, this figure rises to an alarming 34.5%. This worrying trend shows that violence in all forms must be urgently addressed.
Society must act
The events of the last few days encourage us to think about the problem of violence in our society. Whether it's fights in public or domestic violence, the incidents are part of a larger problem. After all, in many cases of violence, a significant number of women are registered as victims, which increases the social impact. Last year, over 23,638 people in Austria received advice in violence protection centers, with 6,757 clients being cared for by the Vienna intervention center.
Unfortunately, the incident with the rapper and the fight at the main train station are just two of many examples of how urgently we as a society need to take action together against violence. Each incident contributes to the consolidation of a negative trend that we cannot ignore.
