Sky Austria brings Champions League feeling to the JUCA dormitory!
A breath of fresh air is coming to support young people in Vienna: Sky Austria expanded its cooperation with Junge Caritas (JUCA) on June 2, 2025. In the new dormitory for young homeless people in Floridsdorf, the company is ensuring a better quality of life and a sense of community with generous Sky Stream equipment. Presenter Kimberly Budinsky from Sky Sport Austria was personally there to celebrate the transition of the Sky Stream TV box, which not only provides entertainment, but also enjoyable evenings with sports fever.
In the JUCA dormitory, the UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan is watched in a focused atmosphere. A great occasion for the young people who find a new home here to gather together and experience the exciting games. This is the next step in a partnership that started last year, which began with a Champions League football evening in the old dormitory in Ottakring. The aim of the initiative is to bring a bit of normality and joy to young people's everyday lives.
A true community spirit
“Shared television evenings promote exchange and a feeling of belonging,” explains Maria-Theresa Kienzer, the facility manager at JUCA. She highlights the importance of such experiences for young people, who often struggle with challenges. Monika Coupkova, Vice President Operations at Sky Austria, also emphasizes the social contribution of regular TV afternoons and evenings together. “We have a knack for bringing joy and entertainment,” she says.
With Sky Stream, residents gain access to a wealth of content that can be accessed via a simple internet connection. Not only are films and series available, but also live sports, including the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. What is particularly noteworthy is that the games are available in different formats: Sky's linear program includes both individual games and the original Sky conference. This creates a special thrill for the viewers.
Diverse entertainment offering
Sky offers a wide range of programs for sports and film fans. The UEFA Champions League will be broadcast live and in full, while the program will be supplemented by a variety of series and films. These include titles such as “The Equalizer 3”, “Dune Part Two” and the popular series “House of the Dragon”. This rich selection of content ensures there is something to suit every taste, further lifting the spirits of young people.
You can look forward to exciting games and entertaining evenings in the JUCA dormitory. The support of Sky Austria not only opens a new chapter in the lives of young homeless people, but also promotes their integration into the community. The mix of entertainment and social networking helps the young people here in Floridsdorf experience rays of hope and a warm community.
