Culture, sport and fun: festivals in Aspern Seestadt await you!
There is an event highlight ahead of us in the Seestadt Aspern: late summer brings us a wealth of events that promote community, culture and joie de vivre. This begins on August 29thSeestadt street festival, which tempts with culinary delicacies, music and crafts. It starts at 12:00 p.m. at Eva-Maria-Mazzucco-Platz, where, in addition to street artists and live bands, there are also numerous participation stations waiting for visitors. A special highlight is the opening concertdo:now.stadt festivals, which will be celebrated at 8 p.m. in the VHS Kulturgarage.
A few days later, on September 6th, it’s “Ready, Set, Go!” at theDonaustadt Sports Festival, which takes place in Elinor Ostrom Park from 12:00 p.m. until the evening. After the 9th Seestadtlauf, over 25 sports clubs will be available to provide initial sporting experiences with trial training and mini-competitions. To loosen things up, there is an entertaining supporting program with music and interviews, moderated by Chris Lachmuth. The highlight of the day will be the concert by the Vienna Groove Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. in the VHS Kulturgarage.
Art and culture in focus
Another exciting event awaits art loversSEE:ART Festival, which takes place from August 22nd to September 19th. It offers a platform for contemporary art, performances and workshops. The official opening starts on August 22nd at 4:00 p.m. at the Info-Bar-Symposium, right next to the Seestadt U2 station. Here, visitors discover a rich cultural landscape that promotes dense networks between artists and the community. Affectionately called “Seestadt Stars” by the locals, the neighborhood terrace will invite you to groove with live music during the festival period from Thursday to Sunday.
In addition to these events, Vienna shows its cultural diversity in autumn with art summits such as theviennacontemporary(11 – 14 September) and theParallel Vienna(September 10th – 14th), both of which are due in September. That tooVienna Festival Weeks, which runs from May 16th to June 2nd, and numerous other festivals such asViennale, which awaits us in October, are on the program and underline Vienna's status as a vibrant cultural capital.

The goal is to create a lively, creative environment that invites people to actively shape life in the Seestadt.
