New Good Muth residential area in Döbling: Senior-friendly living starts!

Muthgasse in Vienna-Döbling will soon offer a new home for many people. The developer Gewog and at home recently started the “Good Muth” residential development project, which includes a combination of rental and condominium apartments, a day center for seniors and commercial units on the ground floor. The groundbreaking ceremony for this project took place a few days ago, and the handover of the residential complex is scheduled for 2027, as Leadersnet reported.

A total of 119 units with two or three rooms will be built, with living spaces varying between 32 and 85 square meters. In the lower area of the new building, 47 rental apartments will be built by Gewog. On the upper floors, i.e. from the fifth floor onwards, 72 condominiums are planned, which will be built by at home. All apartments have a modern design and offer private open spaces, which ensures a particularly high quality of life.

Focus on affordable, assisted living

The project aims to promote affordable and assisted living and, above all, to ensure the quality of life for seniors. Complete accessibility is firmly planned to take into account the needs of the older generation. Gewog managing director Christian Wiesenender emphasizes that continuity and short distances in the living spaces are of central importance. at home managing director Josef Wiesinger also emphasizes the good architecture and high-quality furnishings.

In Viennese housing, the specific needs of seniors are increasingly being taken into account. The Vienna residential service highlights that new projects are being created for older people that offer high-quality housing at affordable prices. The aim is to take the individual living needs of seniors into account, with younger people and families also being integrated into the residential complexes in order to strengthen generational cohesion.

Innovative living models for all generations

As part of the “Generations:Living” project in Stavangergasse, completely new approaches to housing allocation are being taken. Living together across different generations is discussed here. Two applicant households that have a cross-generational relationship can each receive two apartments. These “tandems” live in the same complex, but at a self-selected spatial distance. The aim is to provide secure support while maintaining privacy. The diakonia This project shows how modern living concepts can be adapted to the needs of the older generation.

Overall, the “Good Muth” project and the initiatives from other parts of Vienna show how important it is to create living spaces that are both modern and cross-generational. Here we not only think about the future, but also actively contribute to improving the quality of life for seniors.
