Danube Island Festival 2025: Summer night magic with top stars and sunshine!
The last day of this year's Danube Island Festival is just around the corner and the anticipation couldn't be greater. On June 18, 2025, visitors can expect a musical fireworks display with national and international stars on the Ö3 stage. The line-up promises to shake the island.
The first sounds will be heard this evening from 5:20 p.m. One can be particularly excited about the performances by Rag 'n' Bone Man at 8:40 p.m. and AUT of ORDA, who will perform at 10:30 p.m. with special guests such as Otto Jaus, RIAN and Thomas Spitzer. The stage will be moderated by Gabi Hiller and Philipp Hansa, who will certainly ensure the best entertainment atmosphere with their experience.
Brilliant weather for the final day
The weather forecast for the final day promises pure sunshine: around 30 degrees in the afternoon and warm, dry evening hours let visitors dream of a convivial day of celebration. Nothing stands in the way of an unforgettable end to the festival. However, if you come here, it is best to use public transport, as parking options near the Danube Island are limited. The subway lines U1 and U6 take guests quickly to the event site; Trains run every 3 minutes, especially at night.
It is advisable for drivers to use the park-and-ride facilities on the outskirts of the city, such as Spittelau or Erdberg. The day parking ticket only costs 4.40 euros. This makes the journey to the Danube Island Festival stress-free and uncomplicated.
Entertainment on social media
This year the festival atmosphere will also be increasingly conveyed through social media. The Ö3 social media channels show highlights and outfits from festival visitors and artists, so you can also be part of the event virtually.
An additional highlight will be the Ö3 community show “Ask the whole country” on Saturday, June 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hosts Tina Ritschl and Philipp Bergsmann will hold discussions with the Ö3 community directly at the festival site. Here visitors have the opportunity to post their opinions and questions directly and to actively help shape it.
The Donauinselfest, which ORF describes as one of the largest open-air festivals in Europe, attracts tens of thousands of music lovers every year. It offers a colorful program both on and off the stages. If you haven't been there yet, you shouldn't miss the chance to become part of this unique festival. Be it for the music, the social atmosphere or simply to enjoy the beautiful backdrop of the Danube Island. Information and current updates are also available on Vienna.at and ORF Wien.
