Drug raid in Vienna: Police strike hard against dealers!
Things are going well in Vienna: On Monday, November 5th, 2025, a police task force in Liesing carried out comprehensive measures to combat street crime. Several people were caught red-handed dealing drugs. This is a clear indication that the authority is not letting up when it comes to combating drug trafficking.
A 37-year-old man from Serbia caught the eye of the officers and was arrested after several drug deliveries. When he was arrested, 15.9 grams of heroin and 800 euros in cash were seized. Just 15 minutes later there was another police operation in the 20th district, which caught three drug dealers. They were suspected of selling drugs in a certain building, which put the officers on the trail.
Drug hub in sight
The three men who went into the suspicious building were stopped by police. Two of them confessed to having bought cannabis in the apartment of a 38-year-old Hungarian woman. The woman was also apprehended while leaving the building. The officers found 50 grams of cannabis and more cash in her apartment. When it came to investigating the machinations, she incriminated two other men: a 27-year-old and a 30-year-old. Both were arrested on the same day; the 30-year-old confessed, but the 27-year-old remained silent. Ultimately, both were transferred to the prison.
The Vienna Police are making it clear that they are taking a decisive stance against drug-related crime. According to the Kurier this is not an isolated case. There have already been reports of an operation in which four suspects in the drug scene were arrested. These included three Syrians aged 22, 23 and 38 and a 35-year-old Afghan. They were also caught red-handed when they were active in the drug trade. During the searches, the officers came across cash in denominations typical of the scene and large amounts of drugs, which underlines the hustle and bustle of this scene.
A look into the danger zone
The events of the last few days show that Vienna continues to face challenges in drug crime. The police respond quickly and precisely to tips from the public. Feedback from residents is important in order to get the drug problem under control and to put those responsible behind bars.
This brings us to the heart of the problem: despite all the efforts and arrests, the challenge remains. The investigative authorities must always keep their finger on the pulse in order to put an end to drug-related crime in Vienna. The number of arrests and the amount of drugs seized speak for themselves - and the pressure on users and dealers is increasing. In the best case scenario, this work will bear fruit and lead to a reduction in drug trafficking.
Vienna is now looking forward to the next steps in the investigation and what the police can achieve in their hunt for drug offenders. As long as the police tackle street crime with such vigor, there will hopefully be a good chance of destroying the scene completely.
