Programmatic advertising at Vienna Airport: Manner launches revolutionary campaign!

Azerion Austria recently introduced an exciting new feature at Vienna Airport: a programmatically bookable channel for digital outdoor advertising (DooH). This makes it possible for advertisers to use automated real-time displays and deliver their messages specifically to travelers at the airport. Vienna Airport, which welcomes around 32 million passengers annually and has over 100 shops as well as numerous catering and transport facilities, is thus strengthening its role as a central advertising location for companies. The first customer to take advantage of this new opportunity was none other than Manner, who implemented an image campaign under the motto “Happiness brings people together”. This campaign ran from November 10 to December 3, 2023 and was visible at high-traffic locations in the airport, such as the CAT foyer and Terminal 3.

The initiative is based on close cooperation between Azerion Austria and Airport Media, which supports the technical and organizational implementation. According to Jonilda Keci, Senior Digital Client Consultant at UM Panmedia, the interconnection of programmatic DooH opportunities is closely linked to Manner's brand values. The special thing about this new offer is that it does not replace the existing booking options, but rather complements them. This means advertisers can continue to book in the traditional way, while the programmatic option also reaches new target groups.

Digital transformation doesn’t stop at airports either. At Vienna Airport, the introduction of the programmatic DooH format shows that out-of-home advertising is becoming increasingly important. Since 2024, Azerion Austria has been marketing the digital displays at the airport, previously known as Goldbach Austria, to efficiently place advertisements and increase brand reach.
