A special event is coming up on December 9th: the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss Sohn will be celebrated, and visitors can look forward to a performance of his works created for the district.

An appealing element of the festival is the focus on women in music history. This year the 150th birthday of the composer Wilma Webenau is also being honored. Their rarely performed pieces will be presented as part of the festival.
