Neubauer brings the best coffee from the Baltic Sea directly to Vienna!

In a small, lively coffee shop in Neubau, Vienna, Boris Šešlija and his company Dodola Coffee bring a piece of the Baltic Sea to Vienna's coffee culture. The native Austrian has set himself a very personal goal: the search for his favorite coffee, which was no longer available, led him to start his own roasting company. The name “Dodola” comes from a Slavic goddess associated with rain and fertility – a symbolic connection to the quality of its coffee beans.

The beans, which mainly include Arabica from Brazil and Robusta from Uganda, are roasted directly on the Baltic Sea. Šešlija has a good knack for quality and taste - an advantage of roasting in-house. To ensure freshness and the perfect degree of roasting, he personally visits the roastery once a month. His passion for craftsmanship is reflected in every step of the process, from purchasing the green coffees to bottling the finished products.

Sales and delivery

Dodola Coffee not only serves coffee lovers all over Vienna, but also supplies law firms, hotels and offices. The ordered goods are delivered to the customer either by mail or, in most cases, personally. A special service that many Viennese appreciate. You can easily order via the Dodola Coffee website, which is designed to be user-friendly and even takes into account the use of cookies to improve the content.

Šešlija dreams of one day passing his business on to the next generation and sees this as an opportunity to share his passion for coffee with future generations. The joy of manual work and the immediate result drives him every day.

Trends in coffee culture

The development of artisan roasters is increasingly recognized as a social phenomenon not only in Vienna, but also in Germany. According to the Coffee Institute, these small businesses, often family-run, have established themselves as guardians of coffee traditions and raise awareness of fair trade, transparency and local identity. These roasteries are not only places of enjoyment, but also social meeting places for community and exchange.

Craftsmanship has its price, but consumers are willing to pay for quality. Roasting is often carried out using classic methods such as drum roasting, which is known for its full-bodied taste. This traditional method is in contrast to industrial hot air roasting, which often produces less differentiated flavors.

In summary, it shows that Dodola Coffee's coffee is not just a drink, but part of a lively, constantly evolving coffee culture that is very popular in Vienna and beyond. Boris Šešlija's passion for the art of coffee and the return to artisanal traditions create a bridge between the past and future of coffee.
