Wien, Österreich - The preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in spring 2026 take place in Austria specific forms. Michael Krön was chosen as the overall manager of the project and is to take over the central organization of the event on ORF as an executive producer. The hostcities have time to submit their documents by July 4, and a decision about the event location should be made by August 8th. The 70th edition of the competition could be an even greater spectacle because the interest is high. In June 2025, some cities have already announced their intentions to apply, including Graz with the town hall as a possible venue.
